In 1985 Edith Bort arrived in the United States from Bolivia with the firm intention of fulfilling the "American dream". She lived, worked and married in New York City, and in May 1995 Edith and her husband Alan, formed The Association For the Safety of Disabled Persons,(ASDP) a 501©(3) nonprofit organization to serve people with developmental disabilities. Their success grew and they relocated to Orlando and further expanded their scope of service to also include the elder care community.
Additionally as a bi-lingual service provider, 27 years later the “BORT” family of homes (there are 3),are synonymous with quality care and exceptional service to all their clients, always striving to provide the best quality of life.
With an education in Finance in Bolivia, Edith continued to work in the finance arena. In March 2018 she formally retired from Florida Hospital, having served 14 years in an administrative capacity.

As the Owner/Administrator of Your Sanctuary Assisted Living she brings that same sincere and passionate approach that benefits not only the residents but the families we are privileged to serve.
Marcia holds a Masters in Nonprofit Management and leadership from Capella University (Summa cum Laude) and a BS in Marketing from Mary Mount College. She is also the creator of SPILL THE BEANS a signature training course offered thru CEO CAREGIVER LLC to aspiring facility owners.

Pauline came into healthcare because of her mom, It was an experience that she did not realize she had the know-how for, but learned that compassion and care are skills of the heart.
She looks forward to serving your family with the same dedication.
As well as having held a CNA certification Pauline's education centers on Office Management and Business Automation.

An RN from the Philippines, Lea is a compassionate Filipina caregiver with over
10 years of experience providing exceptional care to the elderly and disabled.
Skilled in assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, meal preparation and personal care, she bring a wealth of knowledge and is a valued member of the YSAL team.

The Unique model of caregiving support for this Memory Community is provided by the owner/administrators with combined experience of 20 years, Plus 4 qualified caregivers, that have been in the trenches caring for their own as well as assisting other families.
STAFFING CONSISTENCY
Because care is provided by the same faces the consistency and routine alleviates confusion and promotes safety.
NUTRITION & HYDRATION SUPPORT
As residents move between the stages their diagnosis our 1/1 care allows us to identify gaps immediately. For example if they struggle with drinking, we are able to make sure they drink enough water and meal support if necessary to ensure nutrition and connect with family and physicians to discuss medication changes if required.
